The Security Watchdog Advisory Bureau, the consultancy and risk assessment arm of the pre-employment screening business of The Security Watchdog, has launched a new training and awareness DVD called Immigration Watch following on from the phenomenal success of its ‘Immigration Workshop’ product.
The Advisory Bureau The Advisory Bureau

This interactive best practice DVD can be run from a desktop or uploaded to a company intranet so that HR teams can deliver state of the art immigration and prevention of illegal working training to a wide population of potential hiring manager’s right across the UK.

Recent high profile events involving Baroness Scotland employing an illegal worker and subsequently receiving a £5,000 fine from the UK Borger Agency has once again propelled the topic of illegal working into the media spotlight.  Although the launched was not planned to coincide with recent events it certainly identifies the need for better training in this area.

Ewan Tweedie, Associate Director of The Advisory Bureau states: “Whilst we are rightfully proud of our Immigration Workshops we concede that budget, geography and logistics may limit the delivery of such high level training to a core population of HR professionals and hiring managers. Clearly companies need to raise the awareness of managers on the rules and issues of fraudulent documents right across the business, however when you have 1000 hiring managers in as many locations across the UK it is challenging. Immigration Watch was developed to meet that challenge and is proving to be a perfect solution. The recent events with Baroness Scotland have only proved how vulnerable companies are and how important this training really is!”

A demonstration of the Immigration Watch product can be found on their website www.securitywatchdog.org.uk/immigrationwatch
