Working at Security Watchdog

So what's it like working at Security Watchdog? It's primarily about business, but it is also about fun! You'll find colleagues friendly and considerate towards each other - there's always help if you need it.

We have an exciting Social Committee, dedicated to bringing the company together as a team with various charity and holiday events. For example: Christmas jumper day, Children in Need, Comic Relief etc. Sometimes colleagues arrange weekend outings, there may be a summer BBQ and there is always a Christmas party, either as the whole company, or in teams.

At Security Watchdog it is very much a teamwork environment. Your team can almost become your second family. Everyone works in a team, with team targets as well as individual targets and compete in competitions in teams. That doesn't mean you are restricted to your team, since there are lots of activities that everyone takes part in as a whole. If you are the sociable type you'll soon have a few more friends to do things with.

From the horse's mouth

Here's what some of our staff say: -

"I was looking for work in a hard employment market and an opportunity for a temporary screening executive became available. It is such a niche industry that at first I was somewhat curious and sceptical of the role. When I joined I was made to feel welcome immediately; the office had a great atmosphere and I discovered that the organisation really did believe in promoting from within.

I have been with the company now for 5 years as a permanent employee and I have been promoted 3 times. Great company, great people, great place to work."
Jamie Holt (Customer Relationship Manager).

"I joined Security Watchdog in 2012. It had such a warm atmosphere which made me feel at ease. I was made to feel at home by individuals within the organisation at all levels. Due to the organisation’s succession planning Security Watchdog were able to identify my skill sets and find a role which would not only enhance my existing skills but also develop new skills to help me grow as an individual. The best job I’ve ever had; without Security Watchdog I would not have developed my career to the level I am now at.
Daniel Don (Customer Relationship Manger).

"Part of the Capita group with significant group benefits (share purchase, season ticket loans, O2 discounts, etc) and all the opportunities that come from within the group. Friendly atmosphere compared to some places where you might only know your team expect to get to get to know more and more people the further you go.

Active management - instead of the daily grind remaining the same across the year - expect competitions and challenges to improve the service we provide and increase revenue (and therefore the bonuses we make). There are also occasional outings such as the annual BBQ or Xmas party to take much needed R&R, to socialise and sometimes see another side of colleagues in a more casual environment.

Imagine a job that gives you as much as you put in. Where you can push yourself to achieve more but also to earn more for doing it. I'd put this amongst the top tier of job opportunities that don’t require a degree ."
Shaun Strachan (Senior Screening Officer).
