The History of Security Watchdog
Security Watchdog was established in 1998 in order to fulfil requirements in the UK business sector for having a standard code of practice for background screening of new employees.
This was undertaken by Security Watchdog in order to meet a growing demand to outsource background checks to a best practice provider.
Security Watchdog is now recognised as the EMEA and international industry leader and subject matter expert in all areas of employment screening services and risk mitigation strategy. We provide bespoke service packages and innovative screening solutions tailored to the individual needs of each client, ensuring the lowest level of risk while continually improving the candidate experience.
Our service delivery is designed to expertly process multiple candidate checks simultaneously, which reduces both lead times and cost to the client without sacrificing on performance. We achieved ISO 9001 accreditation in 2011 followed by ISO 27001 accreditation in August 2015.
Industry Sectors and Client Base
Security Watchdog's client base is far-reaching with 200+ clients across every business sector, including financial services, pharmaceuticals, communications and transport, providing screening and advisory services across 94 countries and territories. We also work with a range of organisations in the public sector varying from central and local government contracts with the Department for Education (DfE), Home Office and several local councils, through to schools, retail and NHS trusts.
In October 2015 we added a specialist aviation screening department and now work with the UK's two largest airlines and the UK's largest airport group, as well as a number of airside duty-free airport retailers. (see our airside screening page for more details)
