Trump wants social media checks on all Visa applicants

The BBC has today reported that the Trump Administration wants to start collecting social media history on all Visa applicants entering the US. This proposal would mean that all applicants to the US will have to give history of their Facebook and Twitter accounts affecting around 14.7 million people per year.

Applicants would also be asked for five years of their telephone numbers, email addresses and travel history. They would be required to say if they had ever been deported from a country, or if any relatives had been involved in terrorist activity.
